recalls and ford

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:42 pm

Yesterday, I tried for the second time to get the two recalls done. The car
sat all day and nothing was done. They said that the one guy who does these
things was busy.

This happend after an appointment.  I love the car, I hate the dealer he is
an incompent asshole.

I am going to  break down and buy a honda, screw ford. I don’t care what the
give me for the focus.

P.S after the first service , I found the power steering filler cap laying
next to the container under the hood.

My other car was serviced by them and they broke the oil cap…….not
funny.

And by theway they did not provid a free loaner………

There is no doubt that this kind of incompetent service is unacceptable. You
have every right to complain. If you want to spend your money on a Honda
it’s your money but before you do maybe look into finding a better Ford
dealer. If this one is that bad chances are their competitors know it and
will quite eagerly be looking to steal away their business.

Car dealerships get into trouble for the same reasons that any other
businesses do. The boss might be having personal problems, employees or
partners may be quarreling, key people might be sick, maybe the company
finances are shaky and everyone’s nervous about losing their job. As bad as
it is for the customers, it may be sheer hell for the people trying to work
    there.

None of this is your problem of course, but it is Ford’s. All automotive
companies care very much about their dealerships and how they function. The
dealerships are their face on the world, after all. You might try talking to
the area representative. Any nearby dealer can tell you how to get hold of
    him/her.

You already said you like the car. And you have already invested the
up-front purchase costs. Why not give it one more try?

    Best of luck.

  3.     I have made it my practice to buy from the dealer with the best price
and then use the Ford dealer near me who has always given me the best
service.  The sales floor and the Service Dept. are two separate profits
centers within a dealership.  No need to worry about getting in warranty
service done at a different dealership.  Ford pays the servicing dealer etc.
You would think the sales guy’s would get the idea as I’m always brining
in new Fords to the same dealership for service and they would give me a
break just to sell me a new Ford  But no they still want the gouge price and
    I just won’t pay it.

    BTW  I just ordered a loaded ( everything but cassette/cd radio) ZX-3
through my credit union for $100 over invoice from a dealer 30 miles away.
So don’t let the salesman screw you over on the price.  If you are willing
to wait for delivery, you can negotiate the best deal.

  4. I have already called the service manager who did apologize but that’s all.
I wrote ford via owner connection. I would not let this dealership touch my
car, they lost their trust the other day. I have made another appointment at
another dealership and I hope this resolves the situation. If not, I will
try a third dealership. I live in a large metro area near Orlando Florida, I
will find someone who wants my business or I will trade for something else
    and never look back.

  5. If you are having such a hard time with your dealer why don’t you talk to
the owner or go to another Dealer????

  9. This is my first time to post here but I have lurking for a couple of months.
I had a great recall experience.  I bought my Focus SE, 5 speed, sport group,
comfort group, ABS, & side airbags back in January.  I took it in for the
emissions recall a couple of weeks ago.  The dealership got it in at once,
provided us with a nice sporty rental car, returned the Focus to us the next
day and then we received a nice stainless steel, thermal Focus coffee mug that
is designed to fit in the cupholders a week later from Ford as a thank you for
    our patience with the recall.

I’ve been delighted with the Focus, Ford and the dealership.  I hope you get
things worked out to your satisfaction.
