2000 focus wagon zetec automatic

problem 1.

Check Trans light came on, as of that moment it doesnt want to shift out of
1st untill you let off the gas then it shifts all other gears fine.  till
you get to first then it does it again.  Never has done this before till now
and as soon as that light came on it does it every time.

problem 2.
intermediate wipers, rear wiper, reap defroster, interior lights, and side
mirros all stopped working.  fuses are all good they just dont work no mo.

any ideas???  this is our only car and with two daughters it isnt easy with
1 car alone much less no car.

I just got some Bosch platinum plugs for my ZX3 (2001) w/ 2 liter Ztech.
I was about to put these things in and I noticed the reach of the plug is
about 3/8" longer than the original plugs. (Longer being from were the plug
tapers to fit in the top of the hole to the end of the threads.)
I went to Bosch’s web site and they do not list a plug for this car.

Anybody know if there is that much room in the combustion chamber for the
extra length?

Does any one know if a gasket is available for the trim to stop it rubbing
the paint?

I know Ford are aware there is a problem.

   I want to swap out my stock CD PLAYER for the Stock Blaupunkt MP3
player.  However, I have heard that the wiring is different for these
players.  Does anyone know where I can get an adapter to make this
work?  OR how I can go about installing this new MP3 Player?

My car is a 2003 Ford Focus LX Premium and the MP3 Player is coming
out of a 2003 Focus ZX3.
