How do you remove the rear brake drums on a Ford Focus U.S. model. I have
been told to remove the main axle nut, how does the dust cover come off and
does it  require a special socket ? What is it’s size?

OK winter is over! (I hope) but this is the best time to ask this.

Those of you that drove on winter tires this winter, I would like to have
your comments on the performance of your tires over different driving
surfaces.

I just bought my Focus wagon 2.0 Zetec a few weeks ago and will buy winter
tires (with steel wheels) next fall. I do not have ABS (I hope I will not
regret this)

I would like to have your choice of tire / wheel size for your winter tires
along with the brand and model of the tires.

I was warming up my 2002 focus zts and cleaning off the snows suddenly the
door lock itself. Can anybody tell me is this normal or not. Because I had
try to sit inside the car and wait for it to happen, and it didn’t happen.
What did I do wrong.

I’ve been phoning round the UK dealers to find out the costs for
fitting the Ford detachable towbar, and have been amazed to find that
they want £150-upwards just for the labour – and that’s on top of the
£280 for the parts!

Does anyone have any experience of fitting detachable towbars, and
whether a moderate novice like myself would be able to do it?  Are
there any special tools required?  This would also include wiring up
the electrics (a single plug).

Has anyone had any experience towing a trailer with their Focus Wagon?  I am
moving across the United States and was wondering what it would be like to
tow a Uhaul behind my Wagon.
