Anyone got a problem when in cold tempeatires the rear window siper makes a
metalon glass type noise

well it only took 7900 km and 4 months for something to go wrong with my
first FORD.  The heater fan only works on HI (4) and thats it.  Me not happy

Hi everyone

I swerved to avoid a fox on the A3 last night and ended up driving along the
grass verge…(oops!)

Hearing a funny thumping/slurpy noise, I thought I’d got a flat tyre, but
all tyres are fine.  I tried driving it, but i’ve got a loud knocking noise
coming from the rear of the car, and ended up coming home on the back of an
RAC lorry.

Any ideas what it could be?

Hi all..

New to this group, as I’m just thinking of buying a Focus. Are they alright
in the long run??  I’m  going to have to get a diesel, due to the miles I
do, but as yet am unsure on the model. Is the Zetec sports package any
good?? I need A/C, so know that with the Zetec, I’d ned the Climate Pack,
but it still seems a better option than the LX.

Can anyone offer any suggestions??

I stayed overnight at my parents for Christmas. My car was parked outside
for 30 hours before I started it to come home. It has been cold. It was
around 15 Deg. F when I started it. It was making a very noticable humming
noise that varied with engine RPM. I looked under the hood and noticed the
power steering pump to be making this noise. I turned the steering wheel and
the noise was louder until I stopped. I drove off and the noise went away
after a few minutes. Power steering felt normal to me.

Why this noise? 15 Deg is cold, but seems too warm for these cold effects to
be happening.

Is the fluid in the pump not suitable for the cold? If so, what to use?

Are there service bulletins concerning this? Where can I view Focus
bulletins?

My car: 2000 ZX3, 2.0, manual trans, AC, 20 K mi, all recall work done, no
other problems encountered.
