does anyone know of a way to get better acceleration…either by aftermarket
parts or jsut retiming the engine…HP is fine and dandy but it means
nothing when the other car can go 0-60 in like 2 seconds!!! I am more of an
acceleration man, then an overaly Horsepower guy….thanks a million….

I have been to the dealer three times for the pass. side water leak
near the upper left part of the rug under the dash.  The foamy pad
there between the carpet and the black plastic gets soaked and it
appears to be coming down the black plastic above it.  I really can’t
see much else back there since you would have to pull out the dash I
would think.  Anyway, the body shop looked at it three times with the
TSB #’s I got from this group.  It is still doing it, but I really
think it is the AC leaking inside after I did some tests this weekend
with rain and AC.  Can this be fixed?  I have seen this happen on some
older cars, but I don’t want it to happen on my new ZX3!!!  Is there a
deflector or something that might be broke that is supposed to pass
this water outside the vehicle.  Please let me know what you think.

Will there be any new 1.4 or 1.6 engines for Focus? The current 1.4 is not
so powerful compared to e.g.  Reanult Megane 1.4 engine, which performs 95
HPs instead of 75HPs of Ford Focus 1.4 one…

Unfortunatelly here in Hungary we have to pay a  compulsory car insurance
what is significantly more expensive if engine of the car is bigger than 1.6
litres

On the other hand.

What are the experiences with the current 1.6 engine. Is your Focus dynamic
enough with this engine? What are the driving experiences?

2) How can you change the behavior of unlocking the car with the remote control:
One click unlocks only drivers door, wo clicks within 3 sec unlock all doors
(thats my actual function). Manual says it can be changed.

3) Can you also program the auto-lock function of the doors after you startde
the engine?

4) Can you program the power locks that they flash the hazard ligts on unlocking
the car too? Can it be changed from one to more flashes when locking?

5) Can the cruise control be installed afterwards in the 1.8l Tdi 90hp engine
focus? This model comes with "electronic throttle"
